Katie Good had 16 points, and Union rallied in the fourth quarter to knock off Crane, 36-35 Saturday in the title game of the Union Lions Tournament.

Kylie Marriott added 11 points, including five in the decisive final quarter for the Bobcats (2-0 overall), who trailed 27-24 after three quarters but made enough plays down the stretch for the win.

Cove 49, La Grande JV 20: Maggie Ledbetter led with 19 points, Adriana Garinger had 13 and Cove (1-1 overall) bounced back from a loss in a big way against the La Grande JV at the Union Lions Tournament Keelye Musick had 10 rebounds, six points and five assists. Alexyss Chamberlain had nine points for the Tigers.

Redmond 46, La Grande 39: Freshmen Camryn Collman and Ella Dunlap both scored a game-high 12 points, but the Tigers came up short of their first win of the season, falling to Redmond at the Madras Tournament.

Delaney Lester added seven points for La Grande (0-2 overall), which was down just 30-28 after three quarters but couldn’t complete the comeback.

Imbler 55, Pine Eagle 8: Hannah Kilpatrick had 19 points as the Panthers (2-0 overall) finished off a spotless run at the Elgion Lions Tournament. Caysie McGinness had 14 points.

Elgin 52, Wallowa 46: Elgin pulled ahead with a 20-10 second-quarter run and fended off Wallowa in its final game at the Elgin Lions Tournament.

Jayden Palmer, Jocelyn Palmer and Tymra Anderson each had 10 points for the Huskies (2-0 overall).

Shanna Rae Tillery and Jamie Johnston both had 10 points in the loss for the Cougars (1-2).

Irrigon 49, Enterprise 36: Gracie Carlsen led the way with 12 points, but the Outlaws (2-1 overall) were done in by a rough third quarter as they suffered their first loss of the season.

Riley Gray had 13 rebounds and three steals for Enterprise (2-1 overall), who led 22-20 at the break but were outscored 13-4 in the third and never recovered.

Joseph 47, Arlington 10: Alexis Sykora had 13 points to lead three players in double figures as Joseph concluded the Snowball Tournament with a blowout win over host Arlington.

Sabrina Albee and Madelyn Nelson both added 10 points for the Eagles (2-0 overall), who outscored Arlington 16-0 in both the first and third quarters.

Friday

Hood River Valley 62, La Grande 56: Camryn Collman scored a game-high 23 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers dropped their season opener to Class 5A Hood River Valley.

Ella Dunlap added 19 points and Delaney Lester scored 10 for La Grande.

Union 42, La Grande JV 32: Katie Good scored a game-high 22 points, and Union opened the season with a victory at the Union Lions Tournament.

Ellie Clark added six points for the Bobcats, and three other players had four points each. McKaylee Orton scored nine points to lead La Grande.

Crane 48, Cove 22: Maggie Ledbetter scored seven points, but Cove was unable to overcome a 14-point first-quarter deficit as the Mustangs pulled away.

Powder Valley 40, Jordan Valley 38: Sam Kerns recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, and Powder Valley (2-0 overall) came back from a 17-8 first-quarter deficit.

Josie Ash scored 13 points and had three steals for the Badgers. Kim Williams added eight points.

Enterprise 77, Ione 30: Riley Gray had 12 points to lead 12 Outlaws in scoring in a blowout win over Ione at the Ione Basketball Bonanza.

Shelby Moncrief added 10 points and six assists, and Reece Christman had 11 of Enterprise’s 34 steals. The Outlaws outscored Ione in every quarter and led comfortably at the break, 39-12.

Imbler 44, Baker JV 38: Hannah Kilpatrick recorded 20 points, leading the Panthers to their first victory of the season. Caysie McGinness added 17 points for Imbler, which trailed 19-16 at the break before pulling ahead in the second half.

Elgin 47, Pine Eagle 26: Tymra Anderson scored a game-high 14 points, and Elgin opened the season with a win at the Elgin Lions Tournament.

Jocelyn Palmer added 13 for the Huskies, who distanced themselves with a 17-2 second-quarter run. Taylor Noble added eight points.

Wallowa 78, Huntington 12: Jamie Johnston led the way with 20 points in the Cougars’ first victory of the season. Riley Ferre and Shanna Rae Tillery both added 14 points.

Joseph 50, Glenwood/Klickitat (Wash.) 26:

Sabrina Albee scored 18 points in her first high school basketball game, and Joseph opened the season with a blowout win.

Alexis Sykora added 15 points for the Eagles, who bolted to a 25-5 halftime lead and a 42-12 lead at the break.
