Julian Wells scored the difference-making goal midway through the first half, Micah Hill and Fredy Rodriguez also scored, and the Eastern Oregon men’s soccer team opened Cascade Collegiate Conference play with a 3-0 road win over Walla Walla Tuesday night.
Wells scored in the 21st minute off a crossing pass from Aldo Rivas, who had two assists on the night. Rivas also assisted Rodriguez’s goal in the 72nd minute.
In between, Hill scored unassisted in the 58th minute, dribbling around defenders before scoring for a 2-0 lead.
EOU pounded the Walla Walla defense all night, outshooting the Wolves 37-11.
Aiden Wright stopped four shots for EOU in the win.
In the loss, Tomcho Kohl had 16 saves for Walla Walla.
EOU (4-1-0 overall, 1-0-0 CCC) plays Northwest in its home opener Friday.
