Eastern Oregon entered play Saturday on a five-game winning streak, and with another win could have remained in a tie for first place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

Instead, the Mountaineers were handed a rare home loss.

Adriana Aguayo had 14 kills, Amber Parker added 13 and Corban recorded a 25-22, 25-20, 25-18 sweep over EOU, ending the Mountaineers’ 15-match winning streak at Quinn Coliseum.

“We made way too many mistakes,” Eastern head coach Kaki McLean-Morehead said. “Don’t get me wrong. Corban did a great job of executing their game plan and playing like they know how to play. But we didn’t do our jobs.”

The loss was the Mountaineers’ first at home since the 2015 CCC title match, and just the fifth at Quinn Coliseum since the start of the 2011 season. EOU is 68-5 at home during that time.
