Make it seven in a row for the La Grande girls soccer team.

Lexee Gomes scored in each half to lead the Tigers to a 4-0 road win over Pendleton Thursday night.

Caiya Chandler and Alaina Carson both added goals for La Grande, which scored twice in each half. Rebecca Conklin added two assists and Katie Perry had an assist as the Tigers took 21 shots.

“(We) worked hard as a team and played well considering it was (the) first time under the lights for this group,” head coach Kristen Rice said of her team, which was playing a night game.

Faith Akers recorded four saves to seal the Tigers’ fifth shutout.

La Grande (7-0-0 overall) travels to Baker Saturday to begin the second half of Greater Oregon League play.

“Baker will be another tough matchup for us. We will need to come out ready to play and get some goals right off the bat,” Rice said.
