Sen. Bill Hansell, R-Athena, and Rep. Greg Barreto, R-Cove, have differing opinions of the accomplishments produced by Oregon’s recent legislative session.

“In any session there are some things you wish wouldn’t (have happened) and aspects that you wish had happened, but didn’t,” Hansell said. “It’s always a mixture. Overall, I would say it was a pretty good session.”

While Hansell was pleased overall with the session his House counterpart was not. Barreto’s description of the session was decidedly less optimistic than Hansell’s.

“(This session was) completely different from my first term,” said Barreto, who is serving his second year as a representative. “(The session) was long and, toward the end, we’d all grown weary.”
