An Elgin man is facing multiple sex abuse charges involving at least four victims.

Corey Dean Collins, 20, was arrested Nov. 1.
Additional charges were filed last week and there are now four open felony cases against him, according to Union County court documents.

Collins is being held on charges of two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sex abuse, first-degree sodomy, third-degree sodomy, second-degree sex abuse, three counts of contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor, sexual penetration with an object, fourth-degree assault, third-degree rape and two counts of sex abuse, according to Union County court documents.

The original charges involved two victims. The new charges add two more victims, according to Union County District Attorney Kelsie McDaniel.

In the charging documents, one of the victims is listed as mentally incapacitated. According to Oregon statute, a mentally incapacitated person is defined as “someone under the age of 18 who is mentally defective, mentally incapacitated or physically helpless.”

Collins’ plea hearing is set for Jan. 25. However, the parties involved in the case have agreed to a settlement conference, McDaniel said, which may affect the plea hearing.
