Volunteers are urged to join upcoming work parties to prepare 25 activities for more than 500 attendees. ACE offers a volunteer punch card program through which you may earn class and gift gallery discounts. Community invited to health reform documentary

LA GRANDE — A free screening of “Big Pharma: Market Failure,” a health reform documentary, will be open to the public Feb. 22 at Cook Memorial Library, 2006 Fourth St., La Grande. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the film begins at 7 p.m.

A year in the making, the documentary features interviews of many nationwide advocates for health reform, including business owners, health policy experts, economists and health care providers. According to organizers, the film looks at facts and makes an effective business case for change and is a compelling drama that reveals the truth of pharma cost and what we can do about it.
