Volunteers sought for Stewardardship Days
ENTERPRISE — Volunteers are asked to meet at Wallowa Land Trust, 116 S. River St., Enterprise, at 8:30 a.m. June 22 for a Wallowa Land Trust Outing for Stewardship Days. The goal will be to remove barbed wire fence on the East Moraine to protect species such as mule deer, red fox, badger and a wide variety of smaller animals, and to pull knapweed, a noxious weed that can destroy native habitat and threatens native plants and animals.
