UNION — Downtown Union will be a Winter Wonderland Dec. 7. Between noon and 6 p.m., there will be vendors, food and music up and down Main Street. The Christmas Parade begins at 5 p.m., followed by the tree lighting and a visit from Santa. Also, the Lions basketball tournament will be going on all day, and a steak dinner in honor of Pearl Harbor Day will be served 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the VFW High Valley Post 4060.

The VFW invites the public to join in the dinner as a way to remember the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, and to honor all World War II veterans. The dinner will include steak, baked potatoes, baked beans and salad, for $14. All World War II vets and their spouses eat free.
