La GRANDE - The driver who totaled three vehicles in a crash early Saturday in La Grande took an ambulance ride to the local hospital.
La Grande Police Department reported La Grande resident Aaron Christopher Standley, 32, faces criminal charges.
Standley was driving a 2012 Dodge 3500 pickup south at a high speed on Fir Street around 5:40 a.m. when it smashed into a 2004 Jeep Wrangler and a 2017 Nissan Rogue, according to the news release from La Grande police. No one was in the Jeep or Nissan, which were on the west side of the street.
Standley suffered non-life threatening injuries, and an ambulance took him to Grande Ronde Hospital, La Grande. Police cited Standley for reckless driving and criminal mischief.
Oregon State Police, the Union County Sheriff's Office and the Union County District Attorney's Office assisted with crash investigation, which police reported is ongoing.
State court records show Standley in May 2018 received an 18-month prison sentence after he pleaded guilty in Union County to identity theft, first-degree forgery and first-degree theft.
