Indian Village 2020

A hawk feather, standing in for an eagle feather, hangs from an assembled tripod at the Indian Village in Pendleton on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020. The tripods, consisting of only the inner structure of a teepee without the exterior covering, were erected in honor of those who have died in the fight against COVID-19, those lost from the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon family, and those continuing to fight against COVID-19.
