Rebecca ‘Becky’ A. Ambrose

May 28, 1952 - Feb. 1, 2020

Rebecca “Becky” Arlene Ambrose, 67, of La Grande, died Feb. 1 at Grande Ronde Hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Grande Ronde Community Church.

Known as Becky, she was born May 28, 1952, in Portland, to Jerry and Ramona Betts.

Becky worked as a caregiver for many years. A talented artist and crafter, she could make something beautiful out of nothing. She was an active member of her church and Write Writers group.

Becky loved to laugh. She was kind and loving and would do anything to lend a helping hand for others, even if she was struggling herself and it meant making her own situation worse. Her greatest love was her family.

Surviving relatives include her son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Krystal Croghan of La Grande; daughters and sons-in law, Jennifer Jones of Idaho, Leslie and Dakotah Luster of Santa Clarita, California, and Katelyn and Cody Presley of La Grande; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Ramona Betts, and brother, Stephen Betts.
