Tori Suto shot a winning score of 74 for the Wallowa/Joseph girls golf team Friday at the Pendleton Country Club Invitational in Pendleton.

Suto was the lone representative for the Wallowa/Joseph girls. The boys’ lone golfer, Michael Diggins, carded a 107.

The Enterprise boys finished with a team score of 420, which was good for second place.

Boone Harrod turned in a score of 95 to lead the Outlaws. Jacob Amaro followed with a round of 103, Tyler Gray had a 107, and Zion Mark finished with a 115.

Aiden Patton had a score of 114 for the Imbler Panther boys, while Kendra Counsell shot 140 for the Panther girls.

The girls teams are back in action Tuesday when they travel to the La Grande Invitational.

Williams leads way for Tigers

Katie Williams shot a career-best round for the second tournament in a row, carding a score of 92 to lead the La Grande Tigers girls golf team at the Ridgeview Ladies Invitational Friday in Redmond.

Tori Williams followed with a score of 109, and Baylee McNeil rounded out the Tigers’ effort with a score of 113.

“Considering the girls had never played Eagle Crest Golf Course, they played great,” Head Coach Cally Goss said. “Katie especially is beginning to reach a new level in her golf game.”

The Tigers next play at their home tournament, the La Grande Invitational, Tuesday.
