LA GRANDE — Eastern Oregon bounced back from a loss to No. 7 Corban with a resounding victory at home against Walla Walla on Friday, Sept. 10.

The Mountaineers won handily, taking the sets 25-13, 25-11 and 25-11. The victory improves Eastern’s record to 7-4 (2-1) on the year.

Jet Taylor led the way with nine kills, while Cambree Scott recorded eight. Freshman Hannah Ledgerwood recorded five aces and Alexis McMurtrey tallied 18 assists. Jessie White led the all players with 12 digs.

The Mountaineers will look to keep their momentum going in a 5 p.m. matchup at home against Lewis-Clark State on Sept. 11.
