LA GRANDE — Eastern Oregon women’s soccer came in at No. 15 in the Week 2 NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, a drop from No. 13 after Week 1.
The Mountaineers are 3-1 on the season, with the team’s only loss coming at the hands of No. 4 Spring Arbor. The rankings do not account for the team’s victory over No. 17 Westmont on Sept. 13, a crucial 1-0 win at home.
The Mountaineers are one of two schools in the Cascade Collegiate Conference ranked in the top 25, with Oregon Tech dropping from No. 19 to No. 21 in Week 2. Corban currently leads the conference with a 4-0 record through non-conference competition.
Cascade Collegiate Conference play begins this week, with the Mountaineers squaring off with two Portland schools. Eastern will face Warner Pacific on Sept. 17, followed by a matchup with Multnomah the following day. The Mountaineers return home for their first home conference game against Bushnell on Sept. 24.
